Description

Katie Gisondi ’20 is a Creative Writing major with a focus in confessional poetry. She began writing in 2010. In her work she puts an emphasis on religion, mental illness, and womanhood, and how these things alter her life and her perception of the world around her.

Heidi Wong ’20 is an artist and poet who first started writing poems, and posting them on Instagram, at a summer camp when she was 15. Since then, she’s accumulated over a quarter of a million followers for her art and poetry, making her one of the most popular social media poets today. Her works have been featured in over 30 magazines worldwide, and she was also the winner of Button Poetry’s short form contest with her poem “how i became an atheist.” She's written two poetry collections so far, sixteen, and the blue velvet dress says i told you so. She is a Creative Writing and Art double major at Hamilton College.
